DAISO was established more than 90 years ago under the name of Osaka Soda Company. The company was the first industrial scale manufacturer in Japan of caustic soda.

Building on our basic expertise we have moved ahead of time and established metric ton level manufacturing capacity of silica gel some twenty years ago, when liquid chromatography was only speculated to mature into process scale separation method. Since that time we have not rested on our laurels and kept on refining, reinventing spherical silica gel keeping in pace with the evolving needs of the bio-pharmaceutical industry.

DAISO is one of the very few actual manufacturer of spherical silica gel for preparative applications. We control the manufacturing process from raw material to the finished product. Please keep in mind that these products are “Made in Japan”, where all employees of DAISO are striving to do their best, and do it even better every day. We never cease to challenge ourselves and for year 2006 we set the goal to establish spherical silica gel manufacturing on GMP compliant level.
