Development of hologram recording material that applications to electric devices are expected.
In our group, the dry type photopolymer for volume phase type holograms which has high transparency, high heat resistance, high diffraction efficiency and high resolution is developed.            
In cooperation with an Independent Administrative Organization, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, Kansai (Ikeda, Osaka), we succeeded in development of the new dry type photopolymer

Hologram recording scenery
for volume phase type holograms which records the information of interference fringes as a distribution of the refractive-index difference in film. The sample work is carried out as film which coated photopolymer. This hologram is available for not only stereograph but also optical material. And then a various application to electronic displays, electric devices, etc. is expected. The conventional material with poor transparency and heat resistance could not produce them.

MECHANISM
According to the strength distribution of the blight and darkness of interference fringes, the ingredient from which a refractive index differs carries out polymerization and refractive index modulation are formed.
