Basic Chemicals Business
Daiso's basic chemicals consists of the chlor-alkali products group, such as caustic soda, etc. as well as allyl chloride and epichlorohydrin, etc. created from the chlorination of propylene.
Our basic chemicals are created by using technologies that have been developed and established since our company was founded, and our products are used for a variety of purposes, from general uses through to special purposes. In the course of your daily life, our products are indispensible and they continue to support your lifestyle going forward.
Functional Chemicals Business
Daiso's line-up of functional chemicals consists of a range of products with a variety of functions, mainly derived from allyl chloride and epichlorohydrin.
Our product range is highly competitive, due to the fact that we control the entire manufacturing process, from raw materials through to production, and our products are active on a global scale, as niche, high value-added products used in a range of growth industries such as information and electronics, automobiles, medicine and the environment, etc.
Next Generation Business
Daiso Group has been putting its efforts into developing next generation businesses, which we have identified as the manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API's) and their intermediates, as well as our electrode business.
We have leveraged the technological expertise and know-how that it has developed in the years since the company was founded and this expertise is put to use in the our core technologies, such as organic synthesis, biotechnologies, electrochemistry and electrode technology. These technologies are now being applied to the two fields where our highly functional chemicals can contribute to growth.
Others
We are also developing other businesses, for example we supply decorative laminated sheets and other products as part of our housing facilities business, as well as DAISO-MR® technology as part of our resources recycling business.
