DAISO group was founded in 1915 with original electrolysis technology, and ever since then we have contributed to the development of chemical industry as a pioneer in caustic soda chemistry of Japan.

To reflect the growth of our business, the corporate name was changed in 1988 from OSAKA SODA CO., LTD. to DAISO CO., LTD. and we now manufactures chemical products that leverage our independently developed technologies in a variety of areas, including basic chemicals, functional chemicals, electrodes, fine chemicals, pharmaceutical intermediates, biotechnology and electronics.

In our "DYNAMIC ACTION" medium-term management plan for fiscal years 2011 to 2013, we aim to further expand competitiveness in our core business, develop the next generation business, create new businesses and promote global strategies.

We have set for ourselves a management goal called "Target-100", aiming to achieve ordinary profit of 10 billion JPY in FY2015, toward which we challenge with an innovative spirit.
